Location: Location: Remote with a preference in the DMV area.

Clearance Required: TS adjudicated within the past 2 years OR an active TS/SCI OR a CBP clearance.

As a Data Analyst, you will be under occasional supervision, responsible for data mining, data preparation, and reporting. You will prepare and conduct analyses and studies, needs/gaps assessments.

Apply knowledge to determine the accuracy and reasonableness of the data, recommendations, and solutions proposed. Document and summarizes the results and develop and recommended solutions to the customers problems. Prepare big data, implement data models developed by others, and provide database support for customer solutions. Key member of a data science project team, supporting data scientists or other consultants in the performance of assigned tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

a. Four (4) years relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely related other quantitative or mathematical discipline. At least two (2) years of experience applied data science research or big data analytics.

b. Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely related scientific or technical discipline A Masters degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of relevant experience. A PhD may be substituted for experience.

c. Demonstrates knowledge of data mining methods, databases, data visualization and machine learning.

d. Ability to communicate analysis techniques, concepts and products

e. Ability to develop data-driven analysis and reports based on data visualizations and data models

f. Ability to design and create dashboards that convey complex information in an easily understood way; specific experience with Qlik is preferred

g. Recently adjudicated TS (within past 2 years), active SCI, or Customs and Border Protection clearance.

Desired Experience and Skills

a. Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based distributed database technologies

b. Familiarity with PySpark and Python

c. Comfortable developing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data
