The Early Stage Practice ("ESP") at SVB Financial Group (NASDAQ: SIVB) focuses on deepening existing relationships with both early stage companies and investors in the innovation ecosystem. The ESP Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for a variety of analyses to be used for internal strategic planning and external presentation packages.

This position offers the opportunity to apply analytical skills to the private, venture-backed innovation ecosystem and gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry through the firm's strong relationship management network.

You will be responsible for multiple ESP workstreams, including:

  • Reporting and synthesizing market trends and business metrics

  • Leveraging data to identify prospects, channel partners and client acquisition sources

  • Working with cross-functional teams to explore tools to deepen existing client relationships

  • Assist with ad hoc business analytics requests to support initiatives with strategic partners

  • Train Relationship Managers on CRM best practices and reporting tools to drive technical analysis of sales and activities

  • Automate and improve scalable processes, tools, and dashboards to drive operational and business efficiency

  • Oversee input and maintain partner data in SVB's CRM system, ensuring data quality and completeness

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2-4 years of experience

  • Aptitude for framing business questions in analytical terms and translating business requirements into useful datasets and analyses with actionable insights

  • Experience using and developing reports, metrics and dashboards with data analytics and presentation tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Tableau)

  • Adept at working with a distributed team

  • Client service oriented, with the ability to partner with individuals at all levels

  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written

  • Interest in technology, entrepreneurship, and venture capital
