About the role:

Doctor on Demand is reimagining healthcare for today's world, and you can join us on that journey. As a Data Analyst you will partner with key stakeholders throughout the organization, including Marketing, Account Management, Clinical Operations and Finance, learning the business from top to bottom and leveraging data to drive strategy and decision-making.

Data is at the heart of Doctor on Demand. This role will have the opportunity to work with every aspect of our business and to leverage a truly unique one-of-a-kind set of healthcare data. You will gain unique experience as well as the satisfaction of helping improve healthcare and changing lives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Report to the Vice President of Analytics and Business Intelligence

  • Work with cross-functional teams on projects to improve our integrated healthcare platform

  • Develop a deep understanding of all areas of the business that you support, and provide proactive analytical insights into those areas, driving data-driven innovation. A successful candidate will grow to work as an internal business consultant as much as an analyst

  • Create reports, dashboards and ad-hoc analyses from the ground up, for both internal and external audiences.

  • Maintain a culture of high quality and exceptional customer service; ensure that work gets done well and on time, and adjust quickly to shifting priorities.

  • Manage a portfolio of requests that will range in priority and scale. Some requests may take an hour to complete, and some may take several months.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of analytics and BI experience.

  • Strong SQL skills.

  • Experience with some standard BI tools such as Business Objects, Looker, Tableau, etc.

  • Some experience with using Python in analytics or Data Science

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. A successful candidate must be comfortable embracing ambiguity and juggling a portfolio of complex and urgent projects with competing priorities

  • Experience with healthcare industry a plus

You are generating advanced visualizations of data to uncover opportunities and develop data science algorithms. Data Analysts work on project teams in order to provide analytical support to projects and programs at the SF Marin Food Bank. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES * Consolidate, cleanse and transform data to prepare for reporting and analyses. * Use data and analytics to routinely answer questions on agency, participants, food-distribution, volunteers and donors including ad-hoc questions, project support, and trend investigation. * Create and provide metrics reports to various cross-functional teams, and manage organization dashboards and reports. * Provide recommendations on approach to answer ad-hoc questions, as well as support on data analysis, model development, statistical scenarios * Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models. * Where necessary, complete additional tasks as assigned. * Data dictionary, policies and change control protocols are defined, maintained and updated on a quarterly basis. EDUCATION * Bachelor Degree in Business, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or other Data Sciences preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE * Advanced proficiency in SQL and a data manipulation language, such as R or Python * Advanced knowledge of Access and Excel Macros. * Knowledge of at least one BI tool such as PowerBI, Alteryx, Google Analytics, Tableau, Locker or Sisense. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED * 2+ years of experience as Data Analyst * Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETLs, and data visualization tools * Solid knowledge of statistical analysis techniques such as hypothesis testing and regression * Strong communication skills with a consistent record of collaborating across a wide variety of teams and disciplines in a dynamic environment SKILLS * Ability to apply high-level analytical, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills to a variety of different scenarios and make recommendations based on outcomes. * Flexible, independent, motivated self-starter who can establish a course of action for self and others and drive initiatives to completion. * Ability to proactively identify problems, gather information and drive course of action * Passionate about learning new skills and technologies. * Excellent communication skills including an ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing or verbally to a wide audience * Exceptional time management and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
