Apprente is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to spearhead testing and evaluation of our cutting-edge voice based conversational AI systems. The Data Analyst will design and implement automated and manual tests, provide detailed feedback to the R&D teams and management, and suggest new ideas for improving our products. The successful candidate would form an integral part of a growing team of engineers and researchers directly contributing to the R&D efforts through continuous quantitative evaluation of the system. Over time, the Data Analyst would build and manage a team of QA engineers.

This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and communication skills and a passion for creating the best interactive intelligent AI agents.

Duties and responsibilities

Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Plan and coordinate testing activities

Design, develop and execute automated tests in Python

Manually review logs and external test results to determine root causes and suggest courses of action to improve the product

Track performance metrics and evaluate regressions

Provide structured and rigorous feedback to the R&D and management team

Requirements

Critical thinking and a problem solving mindset

5+ years of QA experience (writing and executing tests)

Experience with coding in Python

Strong quantitative skill

BS/MS in Computer Science / Engineering or Linguistics

Management experience is preferred by not required

Experience / knowledge in (computational) linguistics is a plus

Familiarity with machine learning evaluation metrics is a plus

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing data insights across our product areas which will help guide product decisions to make our advertising partners' product experiences more seamless. You will need to create and improve data pipelines to surface the right information to gTech teams. You will find ways to improve gTech Product and Service taxonomies based on data analysis in order to simplify and automate operations. You will combine quantitative rigor and business acumen to shape and execute the modeling strategy that drives our business framework. You will work cross-functionally with teams across gTech and be sought out as a trusted advisor by partner teams. Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. * 6 years of experience in statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis. * 6 years of experience with SQL. Preferred qualifications: * MBA, Master's degree or PhD in Statistics. * Experience with programming in Python or R. * Ability to translate analysis results into business recommendations. * Demonstrated problem solving, analysis skills, and excellent business judgment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Create, improve, and maintain data pipelines and work with Engineering teams to access data within their tools. * Work with Engineering and Product Management teams to help build the next generation of tools. * Provide data insights on demand and proactively in order to assist operations. * Automate manual data integrity checks. * Work with Ads and gTech Users and Product teams to align on tools and share best practices.
