Job Description:

Cincinnati State Technical & Community College specializes in training and educating individuals for the region's workforce needs. The College Career Services Center, along with its Welcome Center and Transfer Center provide a continuum of services to prospective and current students from career exploration to experiential learning to job placement. The Career Services Data Analyst will primarily focus efforts on developing systems that support data collection, and provide analysis of data and outcomes related to student success, completion and career placement. The Data Analyst will be proficient and cross trained in numerous database systems software applications, and have the ability to navigate through these systems.

Overview:

  • Responsible for data collection for the Career Services, Welcome Center/Admissions and Transfer Center from several college systems in order to track key outcomes, trends, and performance measures.

  • Develop and manage a data tracking system consistent with College Institutional Research protocols.

  • Track regional and national workforce trends, make full use of existing community resources and research related to workforce and career development, and present this information in a concise manner as relevant to the College's career services and transfer activities.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, faculty, administrators, and students to ensure appropriate and confidential data collection, recording, storage, and reporting.

  • Maintain data integrity and compliance with institutional, federal, and state requirements.

  • Prepare data for institutional and program reviews of key outcomes as related to the College's Student Success & Completion Plan.

  • Extract data from multiple databases to meet internal and external needs, including grant proposal development, data mining to facilitate integration of employer relationships throughout the college, and institutional planning.

  • Design, implement, analyze queries from multiple sources to meet reporting requirements.

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social science, technology, business, or other area involving research and analytical skills and/or 3 -5 years' experience in institutional research.

  • Statistical analysis proficiency.

  • Experience and using spreadsheets, query language(s), database systems, statistical software, and word processing.

  • Demonstrated mastery with multiple software programs and databases (Access, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Experience in higher education and/or institutional research.

  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague, and/or Tableau

  • Experience with career development resources such as Career Coach, National Career Readiness Credential (NCRC), WorkKeys/KeyTrain, CareerLink

Desired competencies:

  • Previous experience in higher education, educational and/or market research is desirable.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to various diverse groups and stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage own time and proactively identify and prioritize tasks for multiple concurrent projects.

Reports To: Director, Institutional Research & Effectiveness with dotted line relationship with Analysts of Career, Welcome and Transfer Centers

Compensation: $55,000

The qualified candidate for this position will perform a variety of administrative and kitchen tasks related to the operations of the Overlook Cafe, the Summit restaurant, campus banquet events, and academic sponsored culinary activities. The Food Service Supervisor requires an individual that works well under pressure with excellent customer service, management and organizational skills. Flexible hours, may include some evenings and weekends. Essential Duties: * Supervises MCI Associates and assigns tasks. * Monitors and reviews completed tasks; ensures that any necessary changes or corrections are made. * Maintains established standards of recipes and portions to ensure that customers are offered quality at all times. * Maintains inventory; assists in forecasting needs and placing orders for materials and supplies. * Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is in good working condition and is properly maintained. * Knowledgeable of point of sales type systems, including balancing accounts and preparing deposits. * Ensures that the kitchen facility is always safe and sanitary. * Resolves customer issues. Minimum Qualifications * One (1) year of experience in a professional food service/dining environment * Associate's degree * National Restaurant Association accredited course completions: Sanitation, Nutrition and Supervision * Ability to work flexible schedules which may include evenings and weekends as needed * Ability to lift/move a minimum of 25 pounds * Ability to raise and lower arms, stoop, bend, carry, push heavy objects Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts Desired Competencies: * Proficient with P.O.S. type systems. * Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. * Possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate/interact effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population to provide a good impression of the College. * Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, work independently, and be a team player, pay attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and meet project deadlines. * Excellent customer service skills in problem solving, analytical, decision-making, project management skills, and time management. * Possess the ability to be innovative with demonstrated commitment to student success. * Ability and willingness to work with students of various abilities and diverse backgrounds. * Demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities. * Ability to work under stressful conditions.
