JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Engineering Finance Office is actively seeking a Data Analyst to fulfill a challenging new role providing accurate and timely financial information to College leadership, departments, and other constituents using the new ERP financial system, the System for Integrated Management, Budget and Accounting (SIMBA).

The Data Analyst gathers and analyzes data from various financial databases and sources; Develops financial reports, summaries, recommendations, and visual representations; Develops and/or maintains databases and provides guidance, recommendations and technical assistance to a wide variety of team members; Advises and assists in determining the appropriate analytical methodology to meet needs and objectives using various software packages, summarizing and interpreting financial results.

This is a new position in the Engineering Finance Office that will work collaboratively with the Assessment and Metrics division of the Dean's Office. This position will require excellent interpersonal skills to interact and network with College and University colleagues, including various trainings, presentations, workshops, and the documentation of analytics and findings.

The College of Engineering has a general operational budget of more than $100 million annually, with an additional $100 million in research-related expenditures, and has an extensive portfolio of endowments, gifts, and scholarship funding sources.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required skills include a working knowledge/proficiency with various data analytic tools, including the Office 365 suite, in particular, SharePoint and Power BI (business intelligence), a high attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills, and ability to communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing. Experience with SIMBA, Workday and LionPath is preferred, as is a proven record of success as a member of a professional team.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Paul Robeson Cultural Center (PRCC) is seeking a Program Coordinator to join their team. The Program Coordinator is responsible for areas such as educational program development and implementation, student advocacy and advising, and outreach to the broader campus community regarding issues of racism, social justice, cultural enrichment, and inclusion. Additionally, this position supports the Director and Assistant Director in all day-to-day matters within the scope of maintaining the administrative functions of the PRCC and providing direct support to our various student communities. The Program Coordinator has major responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following: * Provide extensive student-centered and student-focused programming, outreach, and education sponsored by the PRCC. Design publicity, materials, and assessments for events and programs * Create and maintain avenues for the promotion and marketing of PRCC programs, such as printed materials (posters, flyers, newspaper ads, newsletters, etc.) and online platforms (Facebook, Twitter, PRCC website, etc) * Collaborate with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) staff in Student Affairs to develop innovative strategies that address racial justice, bias related incidents, and equity * Oversee the administrative tasks associated with program coordination, such as maintaining clear communication with guest speakers and performers, completing contractual and financial paperwork, and arranging necessary travel and accommodation arrangements * Facilitate the logistical planning of social and educational programs, such as making equipment and facilities reservations, establishing, and confirming room set-up, and placing applicable general supply and catering orders * Supervise programming/marketing student interns and act as the lead advisor to the PRCC student liaison advisory board * Develop, implement, and evaluate annual program goals and student learning outcomes for programs offered through the PRCC; compile data in a presentable format as needed for reports; analyze data for areas of improvement along with seeking aspiring practices * Manage and control a database of attendees, participants, and others, while expanding the outreach and community engagement of the PRCC and its programs * Support capacity-building for colleagues in other student-centric functional areas across the Penn State campuses to ensure that deeper awareness of and greater sensitivity to racial justice and diversity and make referrals to related resources as needed * Serve on committees, assist with reception responsibilities, and respond to requests from those visiting the Center as needed Typically requires a Master's degree or higher and 1+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
