Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: one year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor's degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and three years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
Data analytic skills and programming experience using languages and tools such as SAS, Python, R, Tableau, SQL, and others. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Teams, SharePoint, PowerAutomate and Lists. Familiarity with healthcare and public health data.
Duties Description The Data Analyst 2 will work within the Development Unit under the Bureau of Informatics and Technology in the Center for Health Data Innovation. The Development Unit supports and implements strategic initiatives for CHDI, including development of a cloud analytics environment that will store data from multiple sources (including health plans, providers, and clinical data) in a central repository. This position will serve as Data Analyst 2 responsible for supporting operations of new environments and tools in support of the cloud analytics environment. Responsibilities will include managing and querying data related to operations and developing and automating reports and communications related to quality assurance, data pipeline and analytic product errors, data access and availability. This position will also support developing standard processes, tools, and reports for the cloud analytic environment to ensure that data pipelines and end products are developed, maintained, and accessed in a consistent way. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Develop and implement standard operational processes related to cloud environment infrastructure, tools and analytic products; Create monitoring processes, alerting and visualizations of data ingestion and access for data products and environments. Manage stakeholder communication related to operations; Analyze and report on cloud environment development and operations status. Leverage project reports and other data from internal and external stakeholders; Develop standards, processes, and protocols to develop and improve additional procedures related to cloud platform and data pipelines. Provide recommendations on improvement to current procedures and implement new processes with approved tools; and develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, data pipelines, products or applications.
