Responsibilities

Data Acquisition Lead will orchestrate and lead a group of Systems Analysts, Architects, Engineers and Programmers in design, implementation, and system integration of complex systems solutions. Activities will include: Evaluate client's existing systems and needs to recommend solutions. Solutions range from the development of bench prototypes to the deployment of turn-key complex systems. Analysis of client needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, and proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete solution. Attend presentations or develops proposals, acting as the technical expert. Direct project staff to installations/implementations and monitor deliverables to ensure client needs are met successfully and in a timely fashion.

Specific responsibilities include:

Lead effort to provide a robust and scalable data acquisition mechanism for open source and publicly available information datasets and provide a common platform to support integration into a core baseline. The services shall include:

  • Providing management and administration of open source data polling services.

  • Providing management and administration of open source data streaming services.

  • Managing and administration of ETL pipelines.

  • End-to-end system administration of data acquisition platform software, hardware and infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.

  • Bachelor's w/ 10-12 yrs experience, Master's w/ 8-10 yrs. experience

  • Any Cloud-related Professional certification(s): [e.g., i. Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) ii. AWS Solutions Architect (Professional)], iii. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, iv. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate), v. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional), vi. AWS Certified Big Data (Specialty)]

  • Experience working in distributed cross-functional information technology implementation team.

  • Experience using Agile systems implementation methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • STEM degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).

  • Systems Architecture professional certification.

  • Cloud-based solutions experience leveraging large cloud-computing infrastructure and platforms architecting, engineering, developing and deploying systems and applications into a cloud environment.

  • DIA systems experience [e.g., Machine-Assisted Analytic Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Generic Area Limitations Environment (GALE), Functional Intelligence System of Hierarchical Networks (FISHNet), FounDRI, Event Data, Defense Economics Database, Object Based Production (OBP), Activity Based Intelligence (ABI), IC Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE)].

Job Description HII-TSD is currently seeking an Engineering Lead at the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Headquarters in Doral (Miami), Florida to support their Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) requirements. The United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) J6 (USSCJ6) is tasked by the Combatant Commander to implement and sustain United States (U.S.) and multinational Information Technology (IT) to manage full spectrum operations in the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR), which consists of Central America, South America, and select countries in the Caribbean. In addition, United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) has Directive authority over USSOUTHCOM's constructed network, and USSOUTHCOM must comply with Executive Orders (EXORD), Operation Orders (OPORD), Tasking Orders (TASKORD), and verbal orders. USSOUTHCOM requires centralized IT infrastructure, services, and processes to include Cybersecurity Task Order (CTO) compliance activities for the entire USSOUTHCOM enterprise and USSOUTHCOM's two enduring Joint Task Forces and multiple Security Cooperation Office(s) (SCO). USSOUTHCOM must have centrally constructed network operations and CTO compliance activities within a Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) encompassing Tier 3 Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) capabilities.
