In 2018, Honeywell will be spinning off the Homes and Global Distribution business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company. Serves the company by ensuring the compliance with domestic and international Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations. Liaison's with domestic and international governmental agencies to ensure full compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with transportation and logistics teams, legal, technology development and compliance to ensure Homes-Resideo meets local, state, federal, and international regulations related to the shipment and storage of dangerous goods.
Perform DG audits and risk assessments with Homes-Resideo and 3PL DG sites periodically per corporate assessment criteria via direct participation or through coordination with third party audit firm. Support sites with corrective action plans to mitigate risk. Ensure pre-determined annual site audit total is achieved and documented.
Provide classification information for Homes-Resideo manufactured (ODM) materials and work with Product Stewardship team to provide classification information for BTS items. Support correct DG material setup in SAP and other ERP systems.
Provide guidance and regulatory interpretation to all Transportation Safety Coordinators (TSC's) and Dangerous Goods Site Contacts (DGC's) globally on transportation requirements for dangerous goods / hazardous materials per the current regulations
Assess and coordinate function-specific and site-specific training needs for respective transportation personnel and defined dangerous goods employees. Prepare and distribute specialized trainings as needed for specific changes in regulations, mode/carrier/country restrictions, or site-specific requirements.
Provide customized training for TSC's to support regional DG requirements, including carrier escalation process, business specific product regulatory information, and site-specific support.
Serve as subject matter expert on emerging and existing transportation regulations within region as well as global. Coordinate and ensure preparation for any regulatory changes through communication with GBE TSC's, DGC's, and other parties as necessary for compliance.
Report transportation regulatory incidents to respective functions, management, and Corporate TSL per required process. Work with TSC's, DGC's, and HSE teams to ensure all transportation safety incidents are entered into corporate tracking tool.
Establish, gather and analyze transportation safety performance metrics for shipping sites by Business/Region, including 3PL sites. Support target performance and process goals per Corporate Compliance STRAP (x-matrix, etc.).
Participate in NPI process and provide classification information, regional/country/mode restrictions, and potential regulatory constraints for new materials.
Ensure complete DG information is provided to all 3PL's per legal requirements, including but not limited to classification, emergency response, and product-specific information.
Coordinate with TSC's to provide technical DG support to carriers/freight forwarders to release blocked/held shipments.
Support Transportation teams working with carriers/freight forwarders to set up approved DG accounts, identify mode/lane constraints, and train on carrier requirements.
Ensure compliance with Corporate HSE standards for dangerous goods and transportation compliance. Develop and distribute Business specific standards as required.
Maintain current and appropriate DG training certifications in IATA, IMDG, TDG, 49CFR, ADR.
Provide support for any other transportation compliance requirements as deemed necessary by management.

YOU MUST HAVE
Strong oral and written communication skills
Use innovative thinking to create continuous improvement
Record of progressive HS&E experience
Working knowledge of basic computer skills
Significant experience in HSE&F field
Progressive experience in Facilities programs
Experience in successfully leading a team
Lean/six sigma experience
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation across cross-functional teams while delivering results
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Up to 25% Travel
