The Eugene Water & Electric Board seeks a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join EWEB's Dam Safety team. EWEB's Dam Safety team is responsible for implementation of EWEB's Dam Safety Program, maintaining EWEB's Emergency Action Plan, and ensuring dam safety, public safety, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will work closely with dam safety staff to ensure that regulatory compliance opportunities are identified in regard to EWEB's three hydroelectric projects: Carmen-Smith Project and Leaburg-Walterville Project on the McKenzie River, and Stone Creek Project on the Clackamas River.

This position's duties and responsibilities will include FERC compliance identification tracking, drafting and finalizing correspondence, e-filing FERC correspondence, developing and maintaining data tracking and file management systems, and use of SharePoint in support of EWEB's Dam Safety Program. The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal and external partners.

A learning mindset, strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Strong program/project management skills are a plus!

EWEB intends to fill one opening but is posting at Regulatory Compliance Specialist I and II Levels.

The starting annual salary for this position, based on level, is commensurate with knowledge, skills, education, and experience as it relates to the position.

  • Regulatory Compliance Specialist I: $87,497 - $109,372
  • Regulatory Compliance Specialist II: $101,289 - $126,611

Minimum Training and Experience Required:

  • Regulatory Compliance Specialist I: Three years directly related experience in public auditing, paralegal, or regulatory compliance.

  • Regulatory Compliance Specialist II: Five years directly related experience in public auditing, paralegal, or regulatory compliance, with at least two years' experience in assigned regulatory area preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Physical or Biological Science, Engineering, Public Policy and Administration or related field.

  • Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Experience with FERC Licensing

  • Valid driver license: Yes
