The Business Intelligence Lead leads the design, development, support, and implementation of a enterprise level reporting solution that will replace Zones on-premise custom Microsoft based BI solution with a global Business Data Lake (ADL Gen2) infrastructure along with Power BI dataflows and embedded D365 Power BI architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced

  • Define, review, and maintain Business Intelligence/Analytic programs for compliance with best practices, industry standards, enterprise architecture, requirements and processes

  • Establish and enforce data warehousing standards to meet requirements and business needs

  • Provide oversight and guidance to assigned team(s) for the effective and timely development

  • Schedule and balance team activities to meet deadlines for deliverables and meetings

  • Develop in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses

  • Hands-on development assistance, troubleshooting and mentoring to direct reports

  • Oversee and monitor code reviews, and deployment packages

  • Manage Team Foundation Server (TFS/VSTS) and ensure policies are followed by team members

  • Manage the team following SDLC methodology

  • Enforce industry standards to enhance and maintain the to-be BI infrastructure

  • Partner with others to assist with conducting root cause analysis to resolve performance and production problems and data issues and data validation

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support of all business intelligence applications

  • Manage, control, direct, and supervise assigned direct reports, including general leadership, planning, organizing, and reviewing

  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Certifications or direct experience in BI Development, Database Development, SQL Server or Cloud Platforms, also IT leadership preferred

  • Three years Power BI

  • Experience with ERP and CRM data. Dynamics AX and CRM preferred

  • Five years developing and implementing enterprise-scale BI tools/reports and dashboards

  • Five years MS-SQL/TSQL writing stored procedures and database schema design

  • Five years with Microsoft BI Stack including SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS development

  • Three years of direct management/supervisory experience

  • Extensive experience with data warehouse technologies and implementations such as ETL processes, dimensional modeling cloud services, and reporting tools

  • Experience in automatically deploying reporting solutions, analytical tools and dashboards

The Azure Technical Lead is responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in cloud computing, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. Additionally, the Azure Technical Lead will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery. The Azure Technical Lead is also involved with cybersecurity activities and will make sure the entire solution and platform are secure and cost-effective Responsibilities * Azure infrastructure Subject Matter Expert for Zones D365 CE and F&O global deployment * Lead the D365 provisioning and de-provisioning of environments to ensure team efficiency and cost management * Lead and support the establishment of processes, procedures and documentation for D365 Platform & Application Updates to the various environments. * Lead and support the establishment of processes, procedures and documentation for code promotion of customizations to the various environments * Lead and support the establishment of processes, procedures and documentation for routine housekeeping and system patching (e.g. Windows Updates) for all servers in the D365 Non-Production environments. * Lead and support LCS configuration, maintenance and access control. * Lead and support VSTS configuration, maintenance and access control. * Support the project teams with troubleshooting especially where it relates to environments, infrastructure and integrations. * Provide support for all D365 environments to all project teams. * Work with other leads to assess technical impacts and determines Azure solutions. * Perform impact assessments for cloud upgrades * Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability). * Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for cloud infrastructure end-to-end architecture. * Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the "why," and articulate several options, the pros, and cons for each, and a recommendation. * Maintain overall industry knowledge on the latest trends, technology, etc. * Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications * Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements. * Serves as a team liaison with heavy communication between management and the development teams. * Architect Azure Cloud services using Identity, Storage, Compute, Automation, Disaster Recovery, and Networking features. * Solid understanding of On-Premise and Cloud Directory Services Architecture Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related subject * 10 or more years of IT experience. * Experience with D365 CE and F&O * Experience with Logic Apps * Experience with Search, Elastic preferred * Experience with Power BI, BYOD, Data Lake * Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure Active Directory * Experience with virtual networks and security * Experience with virtual machines * Experience with microservices * Experience with Office 365 * Experience with PowerShell * Relevant Industry certifications in Microsoft technologies (Azure specifically) * Microsoft Azure-based Cloud Architecture, migration skills, and experience. * Experience in enterprise applications, solutions, and data center infrastructures. * Passionate, persuasive, articulate, and capable of quickly establishing interest and credibility in how to design, deploy and operate cloud-based architectures. * Cloud Security Models & Industry Best Practices Zones offers a comprehensive Benefits package While we're committed to providing top-tier solutions, we're just as committed to supporting our own team.
