The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is for current Installation Management Command (IMCOM) employees.

Applies professional knowledge to plan, implement, and supervise a comprehensive program that promotes positive growth and development of children and youth.
Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and the safety and well being of children and youth IAW DoD, Army and local policies and standards.
Develops policies, procedures and SOPs to support program goals.
Implements and monitors DA policies to include CYPPP, fees, program registration/enrollment, baseline standards and benchmarks, Key Management Controls, and space utilization goals.
Works cooperatively with other CYS Managers to ensure seamless service and continuity of quality options for all children and youth.

1.Successful completion of an undergraduate Degree that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in youth development, youth administration, education, home economics, physical education, elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as related behavioral science.


2.A combination of education and experience.
Courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter area (at least 24 semester hours) appropriate to the position PLUS appropriate experience or additional coursework that provided the knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year field of study.

The education must have been in youth development, youth administration, education, home economics, physical education, elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as related behavioral science AND 24 months of professional experience in:
*managing a child or youth facility is required with demonstrated experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of a CYS facility to include budgeting, facility management, supply management, program development, implementation, selection, training and supervision of personnel and curriculum oversight;
*can plan and organize work;
*analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions;
*have comprehensive oral and communication skills;
*possess analytical writing skills and can present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences The experience and education MUST be reflected on your resume and supporting documentation such as transcripts, degrees, diplomas, certifications, etc. MUST be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position.

HIGHLY PREFERRED are candidates who in addition to the above have:
1.Current and/or prior experience as a Middle School and Teen (MST) Facility Director for a minimum of two (2) years AND
2.Experience in a supervisory role (minimum of two (2) years) that includes/included:
*Formulating and executing budgets and variances
*Managing and maintaining patron and staff records
*Supervising staff
*Payroll processing The above experience MUST be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate.
