How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Cylinder Asset Specialist is responsible for maintaining the controls around the cost effective availability of gas and cylinder assets for the fill plants by identifying assets on hand, assets required and initiating requests for additional assets. The cylinder asset specialist will work with plant managers and the UE center to ensure all needs are met.

  • Manage new cylinder purchase process, including the ordering of the cylinders

  • Complete requisition for purchase of CYL material

  • Ensure sales order follows process for purchasing and selling CYL materials

  • ALL cylinder requests will be sent to Cylinder Asset specialist and vetted

  • Plan, organize and control cylinders needs and redistribution

  • Utilize new (or equivalent) planning tool, MRP (dock stock) for empty cylinders at plants

  • Prioritize and plan regional companies UE/hydro schedule monthly including coordinating the resupply of retest cylinders to plants

  • Maintain strategic cylinder stock

  • Routinely visit medium-large sites to optimize cylinder inventories

  • Route and manage the status for all cylinder requests continually monitor the needs report and proactively move excess assets back to the test centers. Region to decide if going to use an online tool to track assets and/or asst mgr puts in STO to move cylinders.

  • Review storage locations and advise the field of changes

  • Manage third party retest movements with the plant

  • Review new business onboarding

  • 3rd party retest assistance, direct where to ship and when, keep tabs on loads at vendor

  • Track monthly scraped tanks

  • Various tracking and project work as dictated by manager

  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed; works well with others in a team environment across the organization knowing who to engage to achieve results. Uses candor and sensitivity in their dealings with others.

  • Strong demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products including Excel, & Word, and Power BI.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively design, recommend and implement practices, processes and procedures with a high attention to detail.

  • Exceptional organization & time management skills with ability to use time efficiently handling multiple demands, supporting multiple people and competing priorities effectively.

  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.

  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in the bulk/gas industry in an analytical finance-related position.

  • Prior inventory analysis experience preferred.

  • Must be willing to travel at least within the region, not exceeding 15%
