Sentar is currently looking for a Cyberspace Joint Operations Planner, levels IIl and III responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Requirements:

  • Leads and acts as a full participant in JPGs and OPG/OPT developing and integrating cyber capabilities into plans, and in support of Combatant Commander planning efforts

  • Coordinate cyberspace operations planning activities through the IJSTO to include Evaluation Request and Response Messages, SAP procedures, and the RAPCO

  • Thinks independently and serves as an advanced technical expert of all planning methodologies and applications in all phases of military operations, providing analytical expertise and expert knowledge of operational design, Joint Operation Planning, and APEX

  • Establishes joint operation planning objectives in support of combat and contingency operations without supervision

  • Able to independently coordinate the development of cyberspace operations plans, contingency plans, CONOPs, and orders

  • Provides extensive technical expertise; leads, and participates in all phases and steps of the JOPP and APEX activities

Qualifications

Minimum 10-years experience as a Joint Ops Planner.

  • Complete working knowledge of the JOPP, Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), and APEX planning formats and guidance

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Specialized education in military joint operation planning through the Joint Professional Military Education Phase I (JPME I). The Joint Information Officer Planning Course (JIOPC), Joint Cyber Operations Course (JCOPC), or other similar military operational planning courses, may be substituted for JPME I.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

DESIRED OR FOR HIGHER LEVEL POSITIONS:

  • Additional years of Joint Operational Planning Experience, with higher levels of planning responsibility, planning/technical expertise, and staff experience, particularly at USCYBERCOM, Cyber Mission Force, NSA, Combatant Commands or Components, or Joint Staff.

  • Related Cyberspace, SIGINT or Intelligence Planning Experience

  • JPME Phase II or other similar military operational planning courses.

  • Command & Staff, Senior Service College, or Advanced Service Planner School (SAMS, SAASS, JAWS, etc)

  • Masters or higher level graduate degrees

  • Advanced technical and/or planning expert. Able to independently develop cyberspace requirements, objectives, plans and orders through all phases of military operations.

  • Knowledge or expertise in Cyberspace Policy and Doctrine at the DOD and Interagency levels.

VIEW JOBS 11/29/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-27T00:00 Job Description Job Number: R0027509 Cyberspace Joint Operation Planner Key Role: Participate in and support USCYBERCOM Guard and Reserve office deliberate planning based on national-level guidance, including Guidance for the Employment of the Force (GEF), Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan (JSCP), and USCYBERCOM direction. Synchronize DoD Cyberspace operations, planning in coordination with the combatant commands and services. Support the Joint Planning Group (JPG) by conducting operational design to initiate JPG activities, including mission analysis, course of action (COA) development, analysis and approval, and developing commanders estimates and campaign plans to support orders development and various Cyberspace options for USCYBERCOM consideration and execution. Use modeling and simulation methodologies to represent networks or environments to support COAs that create the commanders preferred effects. Coordinate planning efforts with higher, lower, adjacent, and multi-national headquarters and the interagency and liaison with other staff agencies, and components to keep abreast of current operational and intelligence situations. Advise the commander on any supported combatant commanders plans and orders that relate to and may impact the USCYBERCOM mission. Basic Qualifications: * 10 years of experience as a Joint operation planner and with JOPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance * Experience in working with the Army National Guard * Experience with Measures of Performances (MOPs) to evaluate task performance at all levels of war and using Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) to determine progress of operations toward achieving objectives * Knowledge of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP), Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), and Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) * Knowledge of specialized education in military Joint operation planning through the JPME II or the JIOPC, or other similar military operation planning courses may be substituted for JPME II * Knowledge of US military processes, methodologies, and orders * TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph * BA or BS degree * Graduate of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME), other military planning courses, or completion of Advanced Service Planner School Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
