Cybersecurity/Software Engineer Intern
Work as part of an innovative team working in various aspects of the Cybersecurity field. Learn and practice scripting and programming for various software development tasks to support Cybersecurity goals. Participate in Cybersecurity training courses and research and organize best practices for incident detection and response activities, including audio and video recording of training materials and building lab exercises in a Virtual Machine environment to train specific Cybersecurity tasks. Learn to work with hardware and software for small computing devices, including Raspberry Pi computers and other devices, such as laptop and desktop computers and various aspects of the software development life cycle, interview subject matter experts to gather Cybersecurity best practices, and work on research projects for the Cyber Proving Ground. Prepare and apply Agile project planning and equivalent tasks and training in the Cybersecurity field.
Experience with scripting and coding, maintaining and hardening critical services, fixing vulnerabilities, and removing malware
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Pursuing a BA or BS degree
Experience with computer science or network security coursework
Experience with telecommunications coursework
