The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

What You Will Do

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer supports the classified service transformation ("CST") project as implemented on the Raytheon enterprise wide area network ("eWAN").

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer is focused on the secure design and implementation of services and solutions on the eWAN. This individual will partner with GSS counterparts within RTX business units and Digital Technology teams to design, document and integrate new capabilities which meet customer mission objectives. The eWAN is constantly adapting to the changing cybersecurity landscape and maturing existing practices to ensure compliance with government-mandated security controls which ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. This position is responsible for defining and documenting acceptable security technical baselines which meet compliance and business requirements.

This role is a hybrid position that requires at least 5% on premise work at the El Segundo, CA, McKinney, TX, or Tewksbury, MA plant sites. For this reason, candidates must be within reasonable commuting distance of either of these sites. Occasional travel (roughly two times annually) to more distant eWAN sites will be required as necessary.

Qualifications You Must Have

The eWAN is a complex and dynamic environment that requires:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Experience with national security information systems and their security requirements for authorization to operate (e.g., JSIG, ICD 503, RMF, DAAPM or DIARMF) to include technical computer/network system auditing.

  • Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes.

  • Experience with DoD compliance standards and tools.

  • Candidates should have a professional certification that satisfies the IAM II level as defined in DoD 8570.01-M or be able to attain one within 6 months of employment.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience leading efforts on a small to mid-size project/program.

  • Experience managing risk, cost, quality, and schedule performance effectively.

  • Effective writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills.

  • Experience with the scaled agile framework (SAFe) or other project management paradigm.

Minimum Program Qualifications

To qualify for the RTX Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
