JOB SUMMARY:
The Cybersecurity Engineer will develop, plan, organize and conduct complex design and cybersecurity certification assignments on TRU Simulators. This role will operate in one or more functional disciplines within engineering. Work requires the use of advanced cybersecurity principles.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete development, design, testing, and cybersecurity certification assignments for Platform Information Technology (PIT) during simulator design.
Design solutions that will comply with all cybersecurity U.S Government requirements.
Gathers data and prepares documentation in support of U.S. Government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts to obtain cybersecurity Authorization to Operate (ATO) certification.
Performs and reviews technical security assessments of environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established information assurance standards and regulations, and recommends mitigation strategies.
Develop a Continuous Monitoring Strategy for the Contractor's integration and test environments to include the network, physical environment, and personnel activities supporting hardware/software updates.
Capable of supporting business efforts in obtaining waivers for system-critical items
Performs research, calculations, and estimates for projects to conform with established specifications.
Assist in the development of creative, scientific alternatives during job assignments to reach the desired outcome.
Collaborates with system owners and lead developers to implement security best practices, address risks and provides mitigation recommendations.
Conducts assessments of existing IT architecture for compliance with security requirements from application security frameworks.
Requests and coordinates work performed by Engineering groups.
Monitors and conducts analyses on first article fabrication and operation to assure adequacy of design.
Reviews and evaluates supplier proposals for potential utilization.
Assures supervision awareness of program status, problems, and successes. Provides periodic design reviews and updates presentations to the management of engineering and other company organizations.
Support the Bids and Proposal team for any topics related to cybersecurity.
Collaborates with system owners and lead developers to implement security best practices, address risks and provides mitigation recommendations.
Performs and reviews technical security assessments of environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established information assurance standards and regulations, and recommends mitigation strategies.
Conduct static code analysis on commercial off the shelf (COTS) software produced in-plant.
Design and implement safety measures and controls while monitoring network activity to identify vulnerable points.
Continuously monitor the performance and integrity of information systems throughout a closed-isolated network.
Support Software Engineering Team with the deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of software applications.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required in:
Computer Engineering
Cybersecurity
Information Technology
Computer Science
Or related technical field
IA Technical (IAT) Level-II certification or IA System Architect and Engineering (IASAE) Level-II certification preferred.
Minimum 2 years relative experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance
Professional and diplomatic demeanor

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
Ability to read 2D drawings using standard industry practices
Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs
Experience with DoD cybersecurity tools preferred:

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
Evaluate STIG
OpenSCAP / SCAP Workbench
Knowledgeable of the following preferred:
