Brooks Instrument is an industry leader in flow measurement and flow control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 200 Company) is seeking candidates for a Cybersecurity Engineer. This position will be based out of our headquarters facility in Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). In addition to our Pennsylvania operations, Brooks maintains manufacturing locations in, Hungary, and Korea. The Company also maintains sales offices throughout the world. Our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instruments, nuclear, and solar cells.
Basic Function
Responsible for Brooks' Cybersecurity initiatives which involve identifying threats and vulnerabilities in the company's IT systems and software architecture and preparing for potential threats that could disrupt the company's operations. They will also test security systems to monitor and improve performance. The role will advise management on policies and procedures related to the IT industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
Document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and organizational security policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are incorporated into system and network design, development, and implementation processes.
Stay updated on the latest security threats, technologies, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for improving security posture.
Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery efforts, as needed.
Educate and train staff on information system security best practices
