Department OverviewMotorola Solutions is a global leader in mission critical communications which spans multiple verticals including public safety, commercial markets and the defence sector. The Products & Services Organization within Motorola Solutions is responsible for development of the company's mission critical communications and mission critical intelligence portfolio, including command center applications, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and LTE solutions, as well as managed and support services around the world. The organization also includes the company's procurement and supply chain operations

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional who can lead the delivery of customer facing cyber security assessments. Main duties will be, but not restricted to:

  • Leading customer facing cybersecurity assessments which are fully aligned to industry recognized standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and ISO27001

  • Leading the cybersecurity assessment lifecycle from initial customer engagement to report writing and final presentation

  • Creating a framework of cybersecurity professional services capabilities in alignment to customer needs and the strategic direction of the company

  • Constantly seeking to innovate, leverage technology and streamline processes and procedures as the cybersecurity landscape and industry evolves

  • Partner and collaborate to create a feedback loop with business owners which drives change to increase cyber resilience

  • Provide guidance to customers on cybersecurity best practices and remediation steps

  • At least one certification or working toward a related to IT Risk Management, IT Systems Control, IT Audit or IT Governance is highly desired; preferred certifications include:

  • CRISC - Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control from ISACA

  • CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor from CISA

  • CEH Certified Ethical Hacker

  • CEGIT - Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT from ISACA

  • CIA - Certified Internal Auditor from IIA

  • CISSP Certified Information Security Systems Professional from ISC(2)

  • Must have experience in leading cybersecurity engagements - This can include external customers, internal customers or business partners

  • Must have experience in industry leading information security standards including (NIST, ISO27001, CJIS, SOC2)

  • Strong background in operational cybersecurity, networking, systems administration, database administration, architecture or other relevant technical domains

Job is expected to include regular travel. Approximately 25-40% of the year

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity or computer science or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

  • Should have at least 4 years of professional work experience related to cybersecurity professional services delivery.

The District Assessment Specialist will manage the policy, administration, and logistics of district-required elementary school testing. The District Assessment Specialist will be held accountable for the following responsibilities: The District Assessment Specialist is expected to successfully oversee and/or perform the following core responsibilities: * Manage the CPS vendor relationship with NWEA, including but not limited to project management and contract management * Manage all aspects of the successful administration of tests in the NWEA product suite of assessments, including MAP Growth, MAP Growth K-2, and MAP Skills * Design and lead professional learning for school test coordinators and technology coordinators in preparation for assessment administration * Collaborate with the Office of Access and Enrollment to plan, schedule and facilitate all weekend administrations and out-of-towner testing of the NWEA assessment for purposes of student Selective Enrollment application * Collaborate across offices and departments on elementary school assessment policy and implementation, including but not limited to coordinating with the Office of Network Support (ONS), the Office of Language and Cultural Education (OLCE), the Office of Diverse Learner Supports Services (ODLSS), and Information Technology Services (ITS) * Facilitate the cleaning, validating, and reporting of student assessment data to support district priorities by liaising with the School Quality Measurement and Information Technology Services (ITS) teams * Design and distribute school, teacher and parent facing communications and assessment resources to understand, interpret, and use assessment results for evidence-based decision-making In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Chief of Teaching & Learning must possess the following qualifications: Type of Education Required: * Bachelor's Degree in education, educational measurement, program evaluation, public policy, or equivalent fields * Master's Degree in the above fields is preferred but not required Type of Experience and Number of Years: * 3 years work experience in education, with preferred expertise in assessment or project management * 2 years working knowledge of large-scale urban district implementation preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Exceptional organization and project-management abilities * Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel skills * Knowledge of Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and Chicago Public Schools assessment law and policy * Knowledge of the principles of assessment design * Experience working in a large urban school district * Ability to conduct multiple projects concurrently * Ability to learn quickly * Ability to design and lead adult learning * Ability to communicate, both written and orally, to a broad range of audiences, including policy makers, district leadership, and school-based staff * Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential * Information technology familiarity Residency Requirement: As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and must maintain residency throughout their employment with the district.
