JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH JT4

The Cybersecurity Analyst Level II will monitor, develop, and help secure a variety of IT infrastructure, information systems, and analyze cybersecurity threats. Some of the I.S.S.O duties will include: creating & updating system security plans (SSPs), developing plans of action & milestones (POA&Ms), managing & controlling changes to the systems, conducting audits, providing incident response, vulnerability assessments, and assessing the security impact of changes. Interface, consult and guide multiple clients through the development lifecycle while adhering to all of the Department of Defense regulations and requirements.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Conduct research & keep updated with current government cybersecurity standards, codes, requirements, and regulations.

  • Analyze cybersecurity engineering activities / information assurance (IA) / and security assessment and authorization (A&A) in accordance to NIST SP 800-53 or similar Risk Management Frameworks.

  • Act as an I.S.S.O and interface with clients, customers, and external contractors to guide new IT systems through the appropriate approval process while supporting hardware, software, networking requirements and limitations of the cybersecurity architecture.

  • Identify risk assessment analysis and mitigate vulnerabilities in system security architectures via Splunk or similar Continuous Diagnostics Mitigation (CDM) programs.

  • Assist in preparation of reports, correspondence, technical studies and perform other job-related duties as required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Formulating and/or interpreting cyber threat analysis of adversary techniques, tactics, and procedures used to disrupt computer networks.

  • Planning, organizing, and working under strict DoD rules, codes and deadlines.

  • Proficiency in using security tools and technologies commonly employed in DoD environments, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

  • Creating solutions to both technical and non-technical issues that arise from interfacing with clients, customers and other third parties.

  • A great candidate will have a CompTIA certification like: Security+, CISA, CEH, or CySA+.

  • A CompTIA certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree in Computer / Information Technology / Cybersecurity, or equivalent academic/technical training/certification; 3 or more years of experience in computer systems security, and/or related area of expertise; compliance or ability to become compliant to DoD 8570.01-M, IAT/Level II compliance; a Security+ certification or completion within designated timeframe; and one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND or SSCP are required for this position.

Additional desired qualifications include Certified Ethical Hacker or Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CEH/CERP).

In addition, a Cybersecurity Analyst II must possess the following qualifications:

  • Conceptual knowledge of RMF process, eMASS, ACAS, SCAP, STIG, Cyber Risk Assessments (CRAs), Cyber Table Top (CTT), or related process

  • Robust conceptual and practical understanding of IT infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services

  • Experience supporting various system configurations such as standalone, local area networks (LANs), and wide area networks (WANs)

  • Experience formulating and/or interpreting cyber threat analysis of adversary techniques, tactics, and procedures used to disrupt computer networks

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, judgment, and the ability to work effectively with the customer and Cybersecurity Engineering Support Team

  • Ability to plan, organize, and work under strict deadlines

  • Experience with planning, designing, executing, and assessing discussion-based exercises

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $78,915 to $101,223 annually.

Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are required for this position.

Routine travel to remote company work locations and work in field environment with occasional overnight assignment may be required.
