Cybersecurity Analyst II 19-030

Job Description:

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has an opening for a Cybersecurity Analyst II.

The Cybersecurity Analyst II will provide systems security solutions and security administration for the operation of Navy live, virtual and constructive training and networks in support of US Fleet Forces (USFF) and the Number Fleets. This position will provide critical vulnerability analysis support, employ intrusion detection, prevention and monitoring tools and evaluation of network architectures for functional & security flaws.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze software to discover vulnerabilities.

  • Develop and explain technical decisions.

  • Interact effectively with vulnerability reporters, system and network administrators, vendors, experts, internet users, sponsors, policy makers, managers and staff (i.e., stakeholders in the vulnerability disclosure process).

  • Provide preparation and implementation of the appropriate vulnerability scanning, monitoring, reporting and documenting vulnerabilities.

  • Conduct Cybersecurity Incident Response.

  • Provide Command Cybersecurity Readiness Inspection (CCRI) assessment and assistance (A&A).

  • Conduct insider threat analysis and compliance.

  • Provide Command Cybersecurity Operational Readiness Inspection (CCORI) assessment and assistance.

  • Provide Cybersecurity Inspection (CSI) assessment and assistance.

  • Track and provide A&A for POAM inspection items.


Total Years of Related Experience for Position: 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Networking, Security Event and Incident Management, Incident Response and Cybersecurity Readiness Inspection Disaster Recovery.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

  • DoD IAT / IAM Level I / Level II / Level III compliant certifications required.

  • Experience with Incident Response.

  • Experience with Cybersecurity Readiness Inspection.

  • Strong experience in cybersecurity and vulnerability analysis.

  • Experience with Department of Defense Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).

  • Experience writing technology briefs, white papers, plans and presentations.

  • Experience with Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).

  • Experience conducting physical security assessments of servers, computer systems and networks.

  • Ability to make recommendations for alerts to be set to block or alert.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work with teams in various time zones.

  • Ability to travel as needed (15% or less).

  • Must possess an active US Secret clearance.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.

Actuarial Analyst II: * Completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies. * Calculates monthly claims liability reserves, develops merit rating factors and prepares Department of Insurance annual statement exhibits. * Run ad-hoc reports/analysis. Actuarial Analyst III: * Completes complex projects and performs complex actuarial studies. * Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists. * Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects. * Assists the Valuation Lead with communication to Valuation management as well as the local business partners. Qualifications for Actuarial Analyst II: * Requires BS/BA degree; at least 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Strong analytical skills required. * Strong written and oral communication skills required. * Proficient in MS Excel required. * Required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams. Qualifications for Actuarial Analyst III: * Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Strong analytical skills required. * Strong written and oral communication skills required. * Proficient in MS Excel required.
