The Crum & Forster Cyber & Information Security team is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of Cyber & Information Security, the analyst will work alongside business, application development, and engineering teams to implement and monitor security controls in our on premise and cloud environments. You will work with cutting edge technologies on fast paced, Agile teams to solve complex and technical security challenges. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in an IT related field and have a strong passion for Cybersecurity.

This position is located at Crum & Forster's Morristown, NJ location.

Responsibilities, Functions and Duties:

  • Work with the business to implement controls into new and existing systems and applications.

  • Assist with design, development, and implementation of various security tools.

  • Develop, Update, and Publish Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Periodically develop and distribute security awareness and training material.

  • Work with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to investigate alerts.

  • Be an ambassador for Cyber & Information Security within Crum & Forster.

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles.

  • Understanding of current Cyber Vulnerabilities & threats.

  • Experience with Windows and Linux OS's.

  • Fundamental understanding of system and network security principles and technology.

  • Fundamental understanding of Networking - TCP/IP and other protocols.

  • Ability to interface with a wide audience of technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage workloads and deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter who is motivated and driven to learn.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F's risk management controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience and/or certifications in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

  • Experience in SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Anti-virus, Vulnerability Scanning.

  • Experience in C, C++, Python, or .NET

  • Security Operations Experience.

  • Any Security focused Certifications.

  • 1-3 year Cybersecurity related experience.
