Incident Response & Mitigation – Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents, mitigating breaches and cyberattacks affecting the DIB. Forensic Analysis – Conduct in-depth forensic examinations, including malware analysis, network traffic assessments, and system log reviews, to uncover cyber threats.
Threat Reporting & Briefings – Prepare detailed intelligence reports and deliver high-impact briefings on cyber incidents, trends, and investigative findings.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with defense contractors, government agencies, and interagency partners to share intelligence and coordinate response efforts. Advanced Tool Utilization – Leverage cutting-edge cybersecurity tools such as Analyst1, Kibana, VirusTotal, and Recorded Future to conduct fusion analysis, malware research, and cyber investigations. Process & Security Enhancement – Contribute to the ongoing development of cybersecurity methodologies, tools, and best practices to strengthen security within the DIB.
Needed: Active Secret clearance Required (TS/SCI preferred). Bachelors with minimum 5 years of experience or high school degree with minimum 8 years of experience Experience in cyber threat analysis, incident response, and digital forensics within the defense sector. In-depth knowledge of DoD intelligence operations, service-level agencies (Army, Navy, Air Force), and cyber threat actors (e.g., APTs). Proficient with SIEM, IDS/IPS, forensic analysis tools, and cybersecurity technologies. Strong understanding of operating systems, network protocols, and cyber attack tactics.
Expertise in managing classified information and ensuring secure handling of sensitive data. Excellent written and verbal communication with experience briefing senior leaders and stakeholders on cyber threats. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable intelligence.
