Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has openings for Cyber Systems Engineer / Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to participate in the systems development, deployment and sustainment life cycle performing security analysis activities. The candidate selected will be expected to perform

security related tasks including, but not limited to; identification of applicable software security requirements, providing guidance to products to meet those requirements and control potential vulnerabilities. Work with product teams to obtain relevant security patches, support testing of patches, and deployment of them to development laboratories and field assets and to report patch level status to the customer.

Participate in the identification and analysis of system and component level software security requirements to determine security criticality. Inspect, test, analyze or demonstrate security features of the products to formally certify security requirements have been properly applied. Preparation and coordination with the Prime customer, of security assessment reports along with other security documents.

Support review of design, engineering analysis, and test data to evaluate compliance with software security requirements and adequacy of vulnerability controls. Provide direct technical interaction with other product teams with technical software security expertise. Duties will cover all phases of system development including defining and allocating requirements, detailed design, code, testing, and operational experimentation.

Specific tasking will include migrating systems from Win SVR 2008 to 2016 or 2016 SHB including all STIGS, lockdowns, etc. from the ground up. Other required knowledge includes upgrading of SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2016 or 2016 SHB. Experience performing cyber security scans and updating of system documentation is also required.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

BQs for a Cyber Systems Engineer are:

  • 2 years of applicable experience with a Bachelors degree; 0 years of experience with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

BQs for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer are:

  • 5 years of applicable experience with a Bachelors degree; 2 years of experience with Masters. An additional 4 years of

experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of network protocols (e.g. OSI Layers, ARP, IP, DHCP)

  • Installing and configuring Linux and Windows operating systems and applications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of scripting languages

Must possess one of the following certifications: Security CE, CCNA Security, CySa , GICSP, CND, or SSCP.

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Migration of Windows SVR 2008 to 2016 or 2016 SHB.

Application of STIGS,

Security lockdown of systems

Upgrade of SQL Server 2008 to 2016

Performance of cyber security scans.

Editing and update of engineering documentation.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a qualified Cyber Systems Administrator or Principal Cyber Systems Administrator to work with a diverse team of cyber systems admin professionals supporting a fast-paced, growing, dynamic program for our US Air Force customer. This position is located in Orlando, FL. The candidate would be responsible maintaining seamless operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators and cyber security teams. Interacting with users and evaluating DoD approved vendor products and solutions. Performing trade studies when making hardware and sWoftware purchases, coordinating installations, providing backup recovery support, and developing and monitoring policies and standards. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, fine tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. The candidate's responsibilities include: * Participation in team activities and weekly meetings * Performing updates and patching of computer infrastructure * Configuring, administering and maintaining computer infrastructure (Windows 10, Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) * Configuring, administering, and maintaining patch deployment and management system * Providing patch management status reporting to management * Develop scripts to support task automation and automated deployment using bash / powershell / python * Configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and administering computer backup and recovery solution * Providing backup and recovery status reporting to management * Ensure secure configuration managed processes are followed * Executing Agile processes such as DEVSECOPs * Making recommendations for solutions to technical problems (e.g. product selection recommendations) * Maintaining and operating virtual environments for servers and workstations * Writing standard operating procedure documentation and developing system cold-start documentation * Performing auditing as delegated by ISSO, ISSM, or equivalent following defined procedures * Participating in customer meetings, or providing status input to higher level management This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
