As an Cyber Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for guiding the design and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. You will be hands-on in fortifying defenses against emerging threats and acting as the subject matter expert for technical demands. You will report directly to our Senior Cyber Security Manager and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate and implement customer Cyber requirements to various hardware and or hardware test systems.

  • Conduct in-depth security assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies

  • Interface with customers, engineers, designers, and production staff

  • Apply engineer knowledge, tools, and principals to develop improved systems

  • Build your own customer portfolio to accelerate your career

  • Work with cross-functional teams to assess hardware systems and integrate security measures into the development lifecycle of products and systems

  • Work directly with Honeywell business leaders to propose, estimate cost and schedule, and obligations to implement Cyber Security Solutions in both existing and new hardware designs and test systems.

  • Act as a technical mentor, providing guidance and support to junior cyber-Engineering professionals

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity; or a Degree in Engineering plus 4 years Cyber Engineering experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and best practices

  • Excellent communication and ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders

  • Ability to guide direct and indirect reports through influence

WE VALUE

  • A Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

  • An active DoD Security Clearance is highly valued

  • An understanding of the obligations and responsibilities to protect government embedded hardware and associated testing systems

  • Understanding of Electronic Hardware Layouts including electrical diagrams, and cryptography techniques

  • Ability to multitask including balancing cost and schedule for program success

  • Demonstrated guiding skills and experience working cross functionally on systems developed and or sold to DoD customers

  • Strong communication and people-oriented skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM is desired
