The engineer will be responsible for strengthening the defensive posture and cyber defense operational readiness of an IT Enterprise our Enterprise CyberNetwork Defense (ECND) program defends and protects Government assets from external Cyber Security attacks and Insider Threats that can potentially cause or create data, systems, networks, and personnel vulnerabilities.Duties and responsibilities:
  • Manage the functionality and efficiency of Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Remain proactive in identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues involving Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Assist in the planning of system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Assist in the development of documentation on new or existing systems.
  • May provide technical OJT training and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • May serve as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
  • May provide leadership to less-experienced team members.
  • Must have a Bachelors and eightyears of experience or twelve years of experience in a similar role.
  • TS/SCI w/CI Poly required
  • DoD 8570 Level II Certification - CSSP Infrastructure Support

  • Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly

VIEW JOBS 6/11/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-09-09T00:00 Qualis Corporation is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer 4 to support operations at the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. This position has the potential to grow beyond the ISSO role towards broader cyber technical leadership and integration across multiple product lines and/or program levels. This position is open to the next higher grade (Staff Cyber Systems Engineer) based on the qualifications stated below. The TMC is responsible for development of high fidelity, intel-credible models and simulations used to stimulate element models of the Ballistic Missile Defense System, including kinematic missile modeling, IR signature modeling, data production/analysis activities, and maintenance/ sustainment activities for the entire TMC software baseline. The TMC Engineering Team is responsible for the design, development, integration, test, and deployment of multiple software suites to both internal and external users of the software to accomplish the M&S mission of the TMC by employing Agile SW Development methodologies. The TMC is a cornerstone element to the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Engineering Directorate (DE) Task Order. Responsibilities: obtaining and maintaining system Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) packages; developing and maintaining CND policies and procedures; identifying, documenting, reporting and correcting system vulnerabilities; and managing cyber incident response. The successful candidate will have: * Strong understanding of IT networks and systems and the cyber controls necessary to secure them * Ability to evaluate system and network configurations for compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) * Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), NIST 800-53 Security Controls and ISO/IEC 15408 Common Criteria to formulate and implement effective high quality RMF accreditation packages * Experience managing CND operations in a DoD environment * Great teamwork and communication skills * Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment * Strong writing skills to produce the coherent and concise documentation required for certification evaluation * Ability to create and work within schedules and timelines Minimum Qualifications: * 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Engineering or related discipline; 7 Years with a Masters degree with at least one of the degrees in similar disciplines, or 11 years in lieu of a degree. * At least 3 years of recent experience directly in a cyber-security position including serving as an ISSO * Strong communications skills; experience in communicating with senior level customers and ability to speak to different technical levels of understanding * Must possess current certifications that fall into one or more category: CAP, GSLC, CISM, CASP CE, Associate CISSP, and CISSPs * Strong working knowledge of NIST/DoD RMF processes. * Understanding of boundary protection devices, including Firewalls and IPS devices and their relationship to network topologies. * In-depth experience in O&M sustainment activities * Experience working with vendors to expedite installations and repairs to ensure maximum uptime. * Active Final DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Active DoD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program CNDSP Approved Baseline Certification * Current certifications that fall into one or more category: GCIA, CEH, GCIH, SCYBER, SSCP, CSIH, or GCFA * Familiarity with SDLC processes as well as Agile-SCRUM * Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification * Experience in the configuration and/or operation of ACAS or HBSS * Active Final Top Secret Clearance Equal Opportunity Employer/M/F/Vet/Disabled and a Participant in E-Verify Qualis Corporation Colorado Springs CO
