PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting intelligence assessments and providing recommendations for threat testing actions

  • Deeply involved in a wide range of security issues including technical, procedural, and policy driven

  • Performing analyses at all levels of test, including: tabletop, developmental, operational, legacy, and large scale exercises

  • Using threat testing and intelligence methodologies to drive better testing results

  • Involvement in the cyber threat testing of enterprise and tactical systems, applications, personnel, and networks

  • Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of threat testing requirements and customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

  • Integrating new means of creating unified and sharing full spectrum cyber threat intelligence that relates to meaningful and realistic threat integration/testing

  • Providing SME expertise on current systems with threats/product vulnerabilities, with a particular focus on how they relate to other systems

  • Assisting in resolving policy and process discrepancies within threat testing

  • Participating in intelligence assessment analyses of results, identify potential for exploitations and assign risk levels to systems and actions

  • Participating in threat testing and reporting on subjects affecting systems security

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and two years of work related experience or a Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with cyber threat testing and intelligence

  • Requires an advanced level of proficiency to apply broad knowledge and experience

  • May provide direction/leadership to others as a lead or technical specialist

  • Required skills are communication, team building, craft, and vocational skills

  • Artistic, manual, and technical writing skills

Work you'll do As a Specialist Senior within our Cyber Risk team, you will: * Work with Federal clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats * Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work * Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues * Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports * Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products * Assist in proposal development, as requested * Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients * Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding interpretive value to data presented or experienced insight into a functional process or issue * Analyze tactical network architectures and topologies to assess security risks * Analyze external network communications for vulnerable points of access * Perform adversarial reconnaissance to illuminate attack surface area extending through the supply chain * Communicate cyber discoveries through client deliverables * Identify open source intelligence information (i.e. privacy breaches and malware threats) * Serve as a security expert and conduct trainings if needed The Team Transparency, innovation, collaboration, sustainability: these are the hallmark issues shaping Federal government initiatives today.
