Inovalon is seeking an undergraduate college junior or senior student with a diverse academic background to join our Summer Internship Program this year. As a Cyber Security & Security Operations Intern, you will support our Cyber Security & Security Operations team, with the goal of enhancing your educational experience through practical, on-the-job learning, assignments, and projects. The Cyber Security & Security Operations Internship opportunity will be available at our location in Bowie, MD.
Support the Cyber Security & Security Operations team with day-to-day work that covers various activities across the department;
Assist with tracking and reviewing vulnerabilities and patching status;
Lead or assist in the completion of projects, artifacts and/or process improvements, as assigned;
Participate in departmental and/or staff meetings;
Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures; and
Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.
Job Requirements/Internship Criteria:
Ability to work independently and in teams;

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment;
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
Strong interpersonal skills including written communication and verbal communication skills; and
Prior experience with a cybersecurity program.
Must have junior or senior student status in a degreed program at a 4-year accredited college/university;
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity or related field of study at an accredited college/university;
Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA;

Travel for this position will include less than 5%, usually for training purposes.
This position might be extended beyond the Summer program based on satisfactory performance and financial resources.
