OVERVIEW: phia LLC is seeking a highly skilled cyber security operations analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia supporting the National Coordinating Center for Communications (NCCIC) 24x7 Watch Floor

DUTIES:

  • Support the development of staff schedules and staffing forecasts for approval.
  • Ensure shift members follow the appropriate incident escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Provides support promptly and efficiently through front-line telephone and email communications.
  • Ingest, triage, prioritize, assign, track, document, and manage incidents and results
  • Provide technical support in response to computer security incidents
  • Correlate, map, and fuse any and all incident information for the development and distribution of cyber alerts and notices, or other products as required
  • Document technical details of current or potential intruder threats consistent with NIST 800-61: Computer Security Incident Handling Guide. Must be flexible and able to work within a 24X7X365 support environment.
  • Manage information, requests, that may be considered out of the scope of the incident management service and route appropriately
  • Coordinate, communicate, share information, and work closely with DHS components
  • Assist with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
  • The person filling this role may attend meetings and discussions, interface with industry or outside agencies for the purpose of taking notes and doing assessments.

Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 years related technical experience required for the level 3 role.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is required.
  • In addition, selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
  • Experience implementing technical specifications, system requirements and other related application design information.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possession and demonstrated application of relevant certifications:
    • Core: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ISC, CAP
    • Related: CISSP, CISM, ISC, ISSMP,
    • CompTIA, SANs GIAC, PMP

WORK SCHEDULE: 1st Shift

WORK LOCATION: Arlington, Virginia

TRAVEL: 10%

TELEWORK ELIGIBILITY: N/A

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: Active Top Secret/SSBI; eligible for SCI and DHS EOD

The Cyber Security Specialist will provide support to The Joint Service Provider (JSP) program. The JSP program provides a full range of information technology products, services, solutions and customer support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Joint Staff (JS), the Director of Administration (DA), the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) and other various OSD offices to meet mission and business requirements. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: * 6+ years of experience in Cyber Security and/or Information Assurance * 5+ years hands on experience with network security design and implementation * 3+ years of IT/cyber security related consulting experience * Expert-level experience with the planning, coordinating, scheduling, resourcing, tracking, documenting, executing and analyzing Cyber Security Service Provider Programs * Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) 8500 series guidelines and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800 series standards * Excellent understanding of vulnerabilities/weaknesses across complex IT environments and ability to understand applicability of security standards across technologies * Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) or the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) * Demonstrate a strong knowledge in Networking Engineering and configuring Cisco and Juniper equipment * Knowledge of many aspects of information security with in-depth understanding and hands on experience of many of the following areas: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, Web Application Firewalls, Authentication technologies, Web Filtering, Proxy Firewalls, network taps and tap aggregators * Bachelor's degree with a technical major (Computer Science, Networking, etc.) * System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience a plus * DoD 8570.01-M (DoD 8140) Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification required (Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security, GSEC) * An active DoD SECRET security clearance required Skills: * Analytical Thinking * Cyber * Detail-oriented * Information Assurance What you can expect from us: Build your career with us.
