ASRC Federal Professional Services, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer. The incumbent can work from their home in any US based city but must be willing to travel to the Kingdom of Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other overseas locations (OCONUS) as needed.

Key Role:

This position requires a mid-career cyber security specialist with experience in the design and deployment of specialized cyber security tools and capabilities in an enterprise environment with a minimum of 10,000 employees. Work under this position will include detailed technical security audits of existing networks, systems, configurations, policies, processes, and technologies.

Based on the outcomes of the initial assessment, a comprehensive gap analysis will be conducted and specific products and technologies will be selected to fill identified gaps. Selected products will be integrated into a seamless solution and implemented using rapid / agile principles to mitigate substantial cyber security shortfalls identified in the gap analysis.

Basic Qualifications

  • This position is targeted for a detail oriented, self-motivated, and technically adept technical specialist or engineer with experience both in auditing existing cyber security environments, and designing / implementing solutions to address specific shortfalls in those environments. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both alone and as part of a team, with substantial exposure to the end customer.

    The customers for this project include foreign militaries and governments allied with the United States. The sensitive nature of these engagements and interactions require a technical specialist who is patient and willing to work with peers who speak English as their second language. The ideal candidate for this position would have previous experience working technical engagements with EMEA customers and cultures. Basic Arabic language skills are desired, but not required.


  • ISC2 Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) preferred

  • ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (or equivalent) preferred


Bachelors degree, masters degree, or doctorate degree and 7 years of experience. Experience must include substantial technical auditing and cyber systems security engineering work, ideally in a EMEA (or other non-U.S.) environment.


The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance and passport when hired.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting for extended periods. Job tasks may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.

Successful candidate must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of manufacturing and military sites or facilities when required. Successful candidate must be able to complete long duration overseas flights.

Work Environment

The working environment is a mix between a general office environment and on-site work at foreign government locations.
