Work you'll do

As a Consultant within our Cyber Risk team, you will:

  • Work with Federal clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work

  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues

  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports

  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products

  • Assist in proposal development, as requested

  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

  • Provide information system security assurance and compliance services

  • Manage and monitor OFM systems to prevent cyber attacks, remediate vulnerabilities and perform risk management

  • Support compliance with all system security policies, guidelines and financial audits

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field

  • 0-1+ year(s) of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools

  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role - Public Trust

  • Information Security Risk Assessment


  • Previous Federal Consulting experience

  • Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts

  • Experience with Information Assurance concepts and processes within the Federal government

  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP

  • ISSO practices - writing information system security documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, CPs), remediating vulnerabilities and assessing security controls

  • Information systems (hardware, software, connections and system users)

  • Financial audits, ongoing authorization/authority to operate and RMF

  • Cybersecurity tools (DbProtect, WebInspect, Nessus, Splunk, Archer, Xacta)

The firm&rsquo;s primary areas of service lie within cyber extortion / ransomware, cyber security, computer forensics, and data breach response.They blend technical and legal expertise to deliver investigative, forensic, and discovery solutions globally.</p><p>We are seeking entry-level Cyber Security professionals in the Washington D.C. and New York offices. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years hands-on experience performing data breach response, in addition to exposure to security risk assessments, incident response, and computer forensics.
