About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to support our customer in Linthicum, MD

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates aspects of data processing and storage related security standards, policies, procedures, and activities in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies, and procedures.

  • Develops and enforces security policies and assures that policies are applied to processes and systems.

  • Tracks vulnerabilities and other security issues through the creation and update of a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) list enterprise-wide

  • Provides support for audits concerning information security. Relevant auditing bodies include: Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Social Security Administration (SSA), Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), Local Division of Social Services (LDSS), Single-State Audit and the Maryland Department of Legislative Services (DLS) Office of Legislative Audits (OLA).

  • Identifies problem areas related to system security, determines appropriate intervention strategies and coordinates problem resolution among affected parties, both internal and external.

  • Prioritizes data processing security projects, determines staffing requirements, develops work plans and timelines, monitors the progress of projects, and reviews completed projects for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established policies, procedures and standards.

  • Advise staff on data processing security standards, practices, policies, and procedures in order to ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required.

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • This position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in analysis and definition of security requirements.

  • At least five (5) years of specialized experience in defining computer security requirements for high-level applications, evaluation of approved security product capabilities, and developing solutions to MLS problems.

  • Experience with the Splunk Enterprise Security module

  • Experience with Security Operations Center (SOC) setup and operations

  • Experience with enterprise level governance, risk and compliance programs

  • Experience conducting and/or preparing for/passing audits

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • CISSP, CISM, or other security certifications are highly desired
