Position Summary
Under close supervision, the Cyber Security Administrator I is responsible for the administration, implementation and operation of information security solutions; assisting in the developing, review and updating of policies, procedures and standards. Relies on experience and judgment to prepare for and respond to security risks and threats, to plan and accomplish goals, to evaluate, respond to, and mitigate threats, and to drive security initiatives across IT and the District.

Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software as required.
Must be available for scheduled assignments outside of business hours.
Requirements of the job necessitate availability to respond to and support critical systems 24x7x365 within reason. Candidate is expected to work in or around the District's service area.
Essential Functions
Maintain up to date knowledge with respect to cyber security threats and technologies.
Perform incident and threat management, including the identification and remediation of abnormal or malicious behavior.
Assist with the analysis, design, implementation and management of security solutions under the guidance of senior cyber security team members to meet the business needs.
Collaborate across Information Technology and other District Business Units to implement security best practices, address risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
Assist with developing, updating, and implementing cyber security policies, procedures, standards.
Assist in the research and evaluation of new technologies and solutions as well as published changes to existing systems. Make recommendations as appropriate.
Assist with conducting risk assessment activities and analysis of mitigation solutions.
Assist with the development and support the cyber security roadmap.
Maintain current and accurate documentation.
Act within the spirit of District and Department values.
Fulfill responsibilities common to all Supervisory, Professional, and Administrative position as stated.
