Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Cyber Chief Engineer who enjoys the exciting and challenging work of developing the leading-edge global Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system for the Missile Defense Agency.
Responding to ballistic missile threats presents an unprecedented challenge of speed, precision, and coordination among numerous weapons systems, sensors and warfighters. C2BMC is the integrating element that links the various individual sensor-interceptor-communications elements into one coordinated system protecting against all types of ballistic missile threats. This protection spans across multiple regions in any phase of flight providing the warfighter with a global view of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). C2BMC puts the "S" in BMDS.
Lockheed Martin is tasked with leading the development of the C2BMC system at primary sites located in Colorado Springs, CO and Huntsville, AL. The C2BMC team is a diverse team of Software, Systems, Cyber, Project, Network and Information Technology Engineers driving towards of a common goal of delivering the world's most advanced missile defense integration platform to our customers.

As the Chief Cyber Engineer, you will be responsible to design, develop, sustain, document, and remediate all Cyber related efforts for the C2BMC missile defense command and control capability.
This position will lead the implementation and synchronization of cyber security requirements across the organization. Cyber requirements will be properly defined, decomposed, allocated, and addressed in a DevSecOps pipeline. In addition, this position works in close coordination with the government IA counterparts, program management, product team owners, functional area managers and chiefs in a national team environment.
Summary of responsibilities include:
Strategy and execution for architecture, design, development, and integration of new architectural features maintaining the integrity and security of systems and networks.
Provide overarching cyber leadership, situational awareness, architectural and artifact consistency, accurate reporting and proper communication between stakeholders.
Develop and implement security designs for new or existing enclave systems. Ensure the hardware design, operating systems, and software applications adequately address IA security requirements.
Lead technical strategic planning of current and future configurations, ensuring IA dependencies are met across efforts.
Ensure cyber is an integral part of development pipelines and product team integration resulting in effective patching as well as eliminating need for "dev on the fly" in system upgrades and changes.
Development Oversight of architectural security designs for DoD IS with high integrity and availability requirements, to include MAC I and II systems and other DAA designated systems.
Provide cyber related Project Management Oversight and resource planning.
Lead Mission Defensive Cyber Operations - to include cyber monitoring for external facing systems, Systems Cyber Patching, any required emergency patching efforts, Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages, and improving Cyber Task Order (CTOs) responsiveness with the mission, integration and test, and training systems.
Complete collection, development, and delivery of the necessary artifacts to ensure Authority to Operate (ATO) is obtained as required to meet Program Milestones.
Ensure proper RMF submissions to Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA); deliver packages to DCSA enable new systems to be introduced to development environments
Own continuous improvement processes targeted at the cybersecurity posture of mission and test systems, including leadership of cyber resiliency assessments and execution of remediation plans
Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent/educational experience.
Experience with creating and presenting technical information to senior-level executives and customers.
Project Management experience managing cost, schedule and quality.
Experience developing and executing strategic plans and executing tactical objectives Experience leading a cyber engineering team
Experience mentoring and lead junior-level team members, educating program management and others on IA best practices.
Demonstrated ability at multi-tasking with the ability to support multiple engineering disciplines and requirements along with coordinating employee tasking.
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with subordinates, peers, senior management, and customers
Experience with Agile development and/or Digital Development Manufacturing Environment methodologies
