Job Duties and Responsibilities


Supervises and coordinates job activities for employees in the Business Operation Specialist roles, specifically related to CXO (Customer Experience Organization) Operations in the local Resource Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensuring that company goals and business rules are met/adhered to in relation to the answering of inbound calls and the management and administration of outbound campaigns if outbound is a responsibility of the location.

  • Management and monitoring of all inbound and/or outbound call traffic.

  • Management and monitoring of all inbound and/or outbound staffed call center agents, including employee information, aux, attendance, and other schedule management.

  • Creates, implements and enforces processes as related to reporting, performance appraisals, and processes and makes recommendations to central scheduling and command

  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

  • Reporting summaries of CXO executive team and central business operations as to results of inbound/outbound calls.

  • Performs all special assignments and complex level projects assigned by manager or central business operations.

  • Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.


Directly responsible for exempt/non-exempt staff. Responsible for the performance of subordinates. Makes recommendations to superiors regarding hiring, term. decisions, training and discipline.

Bachelor's Degree, or 2 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years of customer service which entails a minimum of 4 years business operations experience (scheduling, command center, technical operations, or other facets of workforce staffing management); or equivalent combination of education and experience


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry in relation to call center staffing management.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Within the Department of Public Works and Development, we are seeking a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Manager to join our leadership team. We are seeking an experienced engineer with a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to serve the needs of Arapahoe County through this key managerial position. Duties Responsible for personnel issues including managing, recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, discipline, conflict resolution, work assignment, scheduling and performance evaluations. In conjunction with the Division Manager makes decisions regarding staff performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Assists the Division Manager in setting priorities, goals, objectives, planning and administrative functions for Division. Develops, monitors and determines staff workload responsibilities and resource allocations. Acquires necessary resources for staff to perform functions. Establishes employee work schedules and prepares and reviews work assignments with employees. Ensures that staff are following adopted policies and guidelines and completing assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Provides leadership through formal and informal actions to ensure the implementation of Division objectives by assigned staff. Acts as the Capital Improvement Program personnel liaison. In conjunction with staff, other Divisions, Transportation Division Manager, and others develop the 5 and 10-year capital improvement plan. In coordination with Division Manager develops budget for the Program including tracking and management of such once approved. Supervises and participates in the development of capital and annual maintenance planning functions. Plans, coordinates and monitors the planning and implementation of capital improvement projects. Studies, recommends, and implements policies, schedules, and standards for Capital Improvement Program functions. Develops work standards throughout the Capital Improvement Program. Provides the Capital Improvement Program with quality control services. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations of the Program, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Develops annual work program for the CIP for presentation to Division Manager. Coordinates Standard Operating Procedures with SEMSWA for County CIP projects as they relate to programs 4 (construction-GESC) and 5 (Permanent BMP's) of the County's MS4 permit. Conducts construction administration services for assigned projects; prepares, reviews and makes recommendations on the design and preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for various CIPs including requests for consultant services, new construction and coordinates the work of staff involved in CIP support activities. Coordinates consultant selection and bidding process for the Division with the County's Purchasing Section. Works with Road and Bridge (R&B) management in the oversight/coordination R&B Divisions annual maintenance program development for roadways, concrete, bridges, and right of way. Writes Program progress work reports, recommendations, policies and procedures, and correspondence. Performs project management of assigned projects, ensuring correct resource allocation, supervises and directs work of capital improvement staff. Facilitates and provides guidance and leadership for any special research, evaluations, or study projects requested by department management. Coordinates with outside entities for joint project development and implementation including other counties, cities, DRCOG, CDOT, SEMSWA, etc. Ensures that capital projects are in compliance with County, State, and Federal requirements, as applicable. Coordinates with Open Spaces and other Departments for staff to perform work for such and then coordinate any associated billing and accounting. Occupationally, works directly with the Board of County Commissioners and Planning Commission to develop and implement policies. Responsible for and participates in the coordination between other County and City agencies, developers, and citizens. Reviews and/or prepare operational reports and other informational items. Attends and participates in various committees as assigned including TRC, ad-hoc, Align Arapahoe, etc. Conducts other professional activities as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge in the areas of Civil Engineering, construction of public works infrastructure, and planning of annual and long range capital improvement programs. An equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job may be sufficient. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires successful completion of pre-employment background and motor vehicle checks. Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado is required. Possession of a valid Colorado Class "R" driver's license or the ability to obtain same within two (2) weeks of appointment.
