Overview
The ideal candidate will be highly independent, detail-oriented, articulate, organized, and able to perform/support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This individual will execute wet-bench experimentation (60% benchwork required) in support of customer and R&D projects. This Individual will also coordinate and participate in CX lab events including pre and post sales demonstrations, trainings, and webinars. The Internal Application Scientist II will be a key contributor to a multidisciplinary team and will work directly with customers and collaborate with other team members including engineers, scientists, and sales team members.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Prepare and lead on-site and virtual customer demos and trainings on all NanoString technologies.
Execute experiments, end-to-end, on NanoString's technologies to generate technical content
Assist with creation of new product training and video content for customers
Contribute to the development and refinement of training and educational materials used by the CX organization
Lead a variety of technical trainings (both in scientific theory and laboratory practices) for members of the Commercial Team on NanoString's technologies
Work directly with customers and effectively collaborate with other team members, including scientists and Sales
Qualifications
Requirements:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in molecular biology/biochemistry or related field; or Bachelor's degree in applied sciences, biology or related fields with at least 4 years of relevant laboratory experience
Strong analytical and organizational skills exemplified by clear oral presentations and written documentation
Able to work effectively with customers and under pressure to meet scheduled deadlines and to handle multiple activities simultaneously
Must be detail-oriented and highly motivated; independent yet enjoys working in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment
Ability to travel at least 10% of the time
Desired:
Experience in histopathology, FFPE tissue prep, and fluorescent microscopy
Experience with automated histology staining systems
Experience with methods used for gene expression analysis, with hands-on NGS experience preferred
Experience with Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or In situ hybridization (ISH)
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $62,000 and $85,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
