What You'll Do:
Cisco's Customer Experience (CX) Services team is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to help grow the Security Services business in our Global Enterprise Segment in the Americas. This role is key to supporting the Sales organizations by working with Customers, developing solutions, and estimating levels of effort for delivering Security Professional Services, as well as providing timely forecasting to the Delivery organization for resource planning.
Who You'll Work With
This Business Development Management (BDM) team is a highly empowered collaborative team focused on driving successful insertion of Security Services across Cisco sales activities. We have the opportunity for visibility and interaction with senior management, cross-team collaboration, engage and drive matrix-managed projects which have direct impact to the services business within the Americas GES NE Theatre.
Our BDM team members have deep knowledge into Cisco's Security Services portfolio. Team members are expected to leverage this knowledge to develop solutions and scope services opportunities based on customer/sales requirements across all vertical market environments.
Who You Are:
Identify & Position new Security Services offerings and solutions created by the Security Services Product Management organization.
Communicate the Cisco Security Services portfolio positioning and value to target client segments and Cisco stakeholders.
Create and deliver to quotes and proposals for Customers with accurate deliverable scoping, sizing and pricing.
Maintain tight interlock with the Customer Success, Delivery, and Business Development teams supporting other architectures to ensure that a single, consistent engagement process is followed across all teams
Collaborate with cross-functional groups (sales, product management, operations, marketing) to position and sell Security Services.
Support sales in building the pipeline and forecasting bookings for Security Services opportunities that align with Cisco's strategy and priorities and allow the delivery organization to prepare for delivery resources.
Contribute to the development of new Security Services offerings.
Engage with Security Delivery teams to insure consistent and accurate scoping of client delivery engagements
Document all in-flight opportunities for accurate Security Services forecasting.
5+ years' experience in sales support, solution development, BDM role, Project Delivery
3+ years' experience in application related advisory, delivery, sales, or BDM role
BA/BS required, MS/MBA recommended
Self-starter, Independent, pro-active, multi task, program management mind set who is able to resolve conflicts
Excellent verbal and written skills in communicating and positioning Security Services business, operational value and capabilities to Client Executive audience.
Experience with the Cisco Security solutions.
Certifications such as CISSP and CCIE Security desired
Proven track record of developing and winning multi-architecture solution deals
25%-35% Travel may be required
Sales Expertise Ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of Cisco and 3rd party solutions / services. Demonstrated track record of pursuing and managing services engagements of $1M+
Technical Expertise Demonstrated technical expertise, academic training or knowledge of security products and services is required in order to provide a comprehensive, differentiated, and valuable level of consulting advice to the client.
Industry Expertise Demonstrated knowledge of the client's business to be conversant enough in order to present a compelling point-of-view to the client of what work should be undertaken in order to help the client's company achieve competitive advantage and differentiation.
Delivery Expertise Demonstrated ability to successfully manage the delivery of consulting projects, which exceed client expectations in terms of deliverable quality and positive impact to the client's business.
