Job Duties:

• The CWS Case Manager Assistant performs a variety of services to support Human Services programs. The position supports and assists Human Services professionals with providing casework services in the area of assessment, family preservation and foster care.

• Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as a part of social services aide plan.

• Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.

• Make referrals to service providers, request progress reports and link progress reports into CAPSS and complete Clear Search request.

• Make request for educational, medical, dental, mental health, law enforcement records, etc and enter data in CAPSS.

• Assist with the obtaining document for Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies and ICPC packet etc.

• Assist with the transportation of children and families.

• Assist with scheduling child and family visitation and entering into CAPSS, and educate about life skills and household management skills.

• Assist with other administrative support functions to include correspondences, copy, fax, email etc

• Will be required to perform Red Cross shelter/emergency response duties as directed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Agency Requirements:

A high school degree and 1 year or more of child welfare relevant program experience or an Associate Degree.
