Cardiovascular Technologist FT Days Position Summary:

Technologist providing technical, patient support, and patient care. Communicates continuously with the physician about patient condition.

Assist physician with invasive and noninvasive procedures and/or surgeries. Operates equipment safely and correctly. Assesses procedure room and/or surgical suite for equipment functioning and readiness.

Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the procedural and/or surgical team are met. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrates critical thinking in relation to patient management and physician interaction.

THE CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited two year cardiovascular technology training program; or surgical technology program; or equivalent on the job training including a minimum three month orientation.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in an acute care Cardiac Catheterization Lab or CVOR.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. (RCIS)
