Responsible for recording finished product on recap sheet. Must be able to properly operate taper, box label, and computer and responsible for communicating lot changes and keeping the lines supplied with cheese and powder.
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Adhere to all safety polices and procedures.
Inspect product for defects, foreign objects, etc.
Keep work area clean.
Places finished product on pallet using correct pallet configurations.
Record finished product on recap sheet and in computer.
Provide proper boxes to line workers.
Operate proper equipment (taper, box labeler, computer, etc.).
Manage/communicate product and price changes.
Obtain over run orders from master schedule.
Keep lines supplied with cheese and powder at all times (utilize trim).
Select and install proper cheese harp and/or "shred heads" according to production schedule.
Repair broken harp wires.
Operate proper equipment (hoists, lift table, cutters, etc.) to load product on to cutter.
Manage/communicate lot/cheese changes.
Record piece weights for average run weight, daily fishbait totals, and powder usage totals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Less than high school education.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
