Your Role
Reporting to thee Branch Manager, The Imports- Brokerage Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Imports Department. Resolving Compliance issues, audit local files, the incumbent will develop, document and maintain the Imports Department procedures as well as coordination of Mexican Broker resources and help with US Customs requests.
Your Responsibilities
You will manage the scheduling of team to ensure efficient resources utilization (analysis (covering for outages and ensuring bottlenecks are reallocated - including minimization of Overtime).
Perform audit review on all assigned brokerage files and payments to customs
ACON New - Billing / unbilled tracking - current month files & queue monitoring and acknowledgement state.
Maintain and keep current all customs compliance documentation.
Process documents through the Company's ABI system, obtaining Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate.
You will be responsible for PSC filing and addressing file compliance concerns.
Review and monitor all Customs rejections, requests for information for clients and any other government agency, and other correspondence (Monitor Entries not released report to identify material on longer than normal customs holds or files that need deletion).
New account implementation & Process improvement initiatives, data flow, productivity - ensuring desk level Working
You will immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies along with root analysis, possible resolutions to manager, Operation manager or branch manager.
Resolve Accounting Tickets or Disputes if corresponding to the accounts handled by her, include Missed Billing, NO
Record of Invoices, etc.
Your Skills and Experiences
You are a Licensed Customs Broker
You are Bilingual (English/Spanish)
5 years' Entry Writer experience
5 years' people management experience with 5+ direct report
You have basic knowledge of INCO terms, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Customs regulations and other government agency requirements
Ability to work in office 5 days per week
