HOURS: Hours will vary. Core hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends)
NOTE: Must be able to travel between campuses and to off-site locations.

Examples of Duties:The Customized Training Coordinator will coordinate the development and delivery of continuing education and customized training services which meet the needs of professionals, agencies and organizations of their professional areas of focus. This individual has responsibility for developing consulting services, program development, coordination, assessment, and evaluation services for non-credit and continuing education courses.
This individual's areas of focus include: promotion of HTC facilities, promoting new certification testing services, business careers (e.g. service industry, customer service), and other new areas of expansion within the division.
Specific duties include:
Conduct sales and marketing activities focused on expanding services and offerings in area of focus to achieve annual revenue goals
Develop new continuing education and customized training (CECT) programs in the areas of focus
Represent HTC in relevant state and regional business, industry and service organizations and activities

Knowledge of education philosophy and practices sufficient for program and curriculum development, needs assessment and evaluation needed to manage and promote customized and continuing education course offered by Hennepin Technical College
3 years of experience successfully performing business-to-business outside sales, event management, or other public facing experience
Ability to work independently and adhere to State, Minnesota State Colleges, and Hennepin Technical College priorities
Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects, set priorities, and schedule activities in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. Ability to present to large and small groups.
Results oriented and customer/student focused
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business, education, communication, or related field
Experience working with a large college system or state entity
Skills in active listening, using questioning techniques, paraphrasing, summarizing and handling objections effectively
