Job Description:


Responsible for providing administrative support to Sales Representatives and assigned hospitals. Ensures that hospitals needs are acknowledged and addressed.


  • Visits assigned hospitals as needed to determine the customer's need.

  • Schedules meetings with department heads at hospitals to persuade conversion to Owens & Minor business.

  • Schedules meetings with materials managers and buyers to ensure accuracy and timeliness in purchase orders.

  • Checks inventory to determine hospital usage levels.

  • Researches new products that hospitals are interested in purchasing.

  • Prepares cost comparisons for hospitals to justify Owens & Minor distribution.

  • Converts new customer's product numbers to Owens & Minor's product numbers.

  • Acts as liaison between hospital and manufacturers to ensure accuracy of materials and supplies.

  • Acts as liaison between hospital and division department heads to ensure smooth conversion.


Performs additional duties as directed.



General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc. Equal to a high school diploma.


Over one year up to and including three years.


Personal computer, CRT, catalogs, forms, and manuals.

Perceiving the nature of sounds. Hearing is important for those activities which require ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on running engines.

Working as part of a global team the successful candidate will be responsible for operational support of critical services provided by BHGE's global estate of F5 appliances and will be expected to proactively manage and monitor the health and security of the platforms, drive continuous improvement and resolve any issues that may be presented. Essential Responsibilities: * Design and deploy BIG-IP LTM, BIG-IP DNS & BIG-IP APM solutions * Provide third level support and escalation of F5-related incidents and outages from BHGE Network Operations Center * Lead technical resolution of F5-related Major Incidents working with multiple teams on outage bridges * Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation * Manage device application version levels, implementing updates when required * Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions * Collaborate with and mentor BHGE Network Engineers to increase global knowledge of F5 technologies across the team * Assist with SSL certification management * Modify traffic behavior with profiles and iRules Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or 5 years equivalent work experience * Demonstrated track record in supporting F5 technologies * Extensive & comprehensive knowledge of application delivery and load balancing policies & configurations as they apply to F5 Desired Characteristics: * Solid understanding of networking technologies, security, routing, switching, LAN/WAN. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally and ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. * Ideally have an F5 certification (LTM/GTM/ASM/APM/AFM) * Experience working in a diverse, globally distributed team * Knowledge and experience of working within an ITIL framework Locations: Houston, TX Baker Hughes, a GE company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
