The Boeing Company is seeking a Customer Service Specialist (Entry-Level) position for its Commercial Component Services Execution operations in Chicago, Illinois.

This position is in support of Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain Execution team. Commercial Component Services Execution team provides a dedicated pool of high-value, dispatch-critical parts for airlines, while helping them to improve operations support and cash flow.

As key part of the responsibility for position, candidate will directly work with various internal Boeing organization and external airline functional organizations to coordinate and manage the distribution and storage of all incoming/outgoing exchange program parts. The selected candidate will be responsible, but not limited, to the following duties on a daily basis:

  • Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.

  • Responds to customer inquiries and coordinates delivery problem resolution.

  • Follow up with freight forwarder on delivery, freight invoices, etc.

  • Follow up with clearing agents until the arrival of goods to customer airline warehouse.

  • Monitors performance metrics, performs trend analysis and takes mitigating action to meet performance objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintains internal/external supplier/customer interface with regular communication

  • Travels for work 10% of the time.

Qualifications

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite applications

  • Experience in a role that required strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a business degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management.

  • Inventory, stock, or supply chain management experience is helpful.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Program Management experience.
