The Sales Support Representatives primary role is to act as the point of contact between SSI and the customer by responding to all questions and inquiries in an accurate, timely and responsive manner.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The Customer Support Representatives primary role is to act as the point of contact between Shippers Supply, Inc and the customer by responding to all questions and inquiries in an accurate, timely and professional manner. Key Accountabilities:
    • Customer Representative Support: Contribute to great customer relationships by providing industry-leading customer support
      • Manage communication between Shippers Supply, Inc and the customer, including:
        • order and return entry/follow up
        • opportunity and quote entry/follow up
        • sample request/follow up
        • proactive inventory management (PIM) support
      • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries including e-mail, phone and web
      • Ensure minimal effort is needed by customer through thorough and accountable issue resolution
      • Establish rapport with customers through each interaction
    • Administrative Duties: Coordinate the flow of information to provide support to our customers
      • Provide front desk coverage greeting guests on the phone and face-to-face, in a friendly and timely manner and providing superior hospitality
      • Utilize customer relationship and email management systems to track activities and tasks
    • Other essential functions
      • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
      • Comply with all company policies and procedures


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or sales support experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate level computer skills are required. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and high organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to leverage resources and think creatively to resolve customer issues
  • Math competencies including unit conversions and basic operations.

Work Environment: This position requires the ability to work in a typical office environment, interfacing with computers and other office equipment much of the day
