Customer location in Thousand Oaks, CA

How will you make an impact?

Primary contact for Pilot Plant services at customer sites. Responsible for the management of all on-site personnel and day to day activities within the Pilot Plant Program. Work in concert with customer management and sales team to ensure that all requirements and service metrics, as outlined in the current contract/agreement, are met on a consistent basis.

What will you do?

  • Lead, mentor, and empower laboratory and logistics team members across multiple functional areas at a key customer site

  • Partner with functional area leaders to supervise performance, efficiency, and report performance metrics. Evaluate trending of metric data; perform root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventative actions (CAPAs) as required. Lead business reviews to highlight program capabilities and define new opportunities.

  • Drive excellence in the program through clear communication, scientific collaboration, service scope expansion, service level agreement (SLA) adherence, development of business metrics, and team management. Forecast resource needs and/or process revisions vital to meet customer demand. Handle contract change requests; development of scope of work and following established process.

  • Champion Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and focus on improving processes with the goal of providing stellar customer service.

  • Lead customer and program communication, candidate selection process, support training, and evaluate staff performance. Leverage communication abilities to support team members and key clients.

  • Address higher level critical issues, ensuring appropriate communication with key clients. Lead and/or participate in routine pulse meetings with key contacts to proactively address feedback.

  • Lead and develop shared content for client facing meetings.

  • Provide administrative support for process harmonization and document revision for the global program.

  • Draft communication and harmonize calendar events.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

How will you get here?

Education

Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with limited experience; or equivalent work experience.

Experience

2+ years of experience in a supervisory role required

2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting; experience in GLP/GMP environment preferred

Overall understanding of service management

Focus on laboratory safety and GXP compliance

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proven excellence in developing and maintaining customer relationships

Meticulous, problem solver, promotes team environment

Excellent computer/software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)

Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English. Must possess written skills to clearly express ideas, share/present technical information, communicate well with customers and all levels of the organization, write procedures, and develop plans.

Possess the leadership and supervisory skills be able to lead, coach and motivate a large group of employees along with excellent interpersonal skills to relate well to employees, various levels of the customer business and peers. Must be able to handle conflict well and give positive and constructive feedback along with handling performance issues.

Possess strong self-motivation and organizational skills to meet deadlines and assist staff in multi-tasking.

Able to apply sound judgment and decision-making skills in dealing with a variety of routine and non-routine issues. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to make timely decisions while functioning in a fast-paced changing work environment.

Must be flexible with hours

Basic understanding of employment/labor law regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75,000.00-$112,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
