A busy Eugene area company has launched a new software program and is seeking an enthusiastic full time, long term temporary Customer Service/Help Desk Representative to field inbound calls, chat and email and assist customers with navigating and using the new program and also assisting with basic technical questions. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a terrific and growing organization. The ideal Customer Service/Help Desk Representative will be energetic, positive and possess a strong work ethic. The Customer Service/Help Desk Representative will be responsible for taking inbound calls and also responding to email inquires and chat and will be answering questions and assisting with basic technical issues like how to clear cache, deal with pop-up blockers, know what cookies are and basic computer navigation. The Customer Service/Help Desk Representative will also enter data into the company database and will be computer savvy with solid MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. A minimum of 1-2+ years Customer Service/Help Desk Representative experience, in a call center environment, is required along with basic help desk support experience. Requirements

  • 1-2+ years' customer service experience in a call center environment along with basic help desk support

  • Proven experience going the extra mile to solve complex customer inquiries via extensive research

  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • Upbeat, positive attitude and an approach to work rooted in professionalism

  • 2+ years' experience of proven performance in a goal-driven customer-focused environment desired

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Proven computer skills

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners and clients/customers

  • Solid understanding of MS Outlook

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Deep understanding of pricing

  • General familiarity with customer service

  • Proven knowledge of filing

  • Good understanding of sales

  • Quality experience with internet

  • Wide ranging experience with email

  • Import customer service experience preferred

  • Earlier work involving Microsoft Word

  • Well-founded grasp of faxing

  • Practical knowledge of order entry

  • Command of records maintenance

  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, e.g. ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly

  • Strong customer service and office administrative skills
