Countryway, an affiliate of Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a detail oriented data entry and call center representative to work a temp assignment in the Underwriting and Policy Services department.
Qualified candidates will have exceptional MS Office and data entry skills, and a high level of initiative. Must be able to work computer, and basic office equipment in a proficient manner. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior Property & Casualty (P&C) experience a must. Must be able to work Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Respond with high level of customer service to processing change requests.
Develop an understanding of internal procedures used in connection with the issuance and maintenance of insurance policies.
Develop an understanding of all manual rules and rates.
Make basic processing decisions based on guidelines and rules.
Acquire knowledge to process multiple lines (some approval required).
Interpret and evaluate completeness of data provided by underwriters, agents, etc. for the purpose of policy issuance and changes.
Enter premium transactions associated with statistical data into computer system.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Communicate with others (agents, policyholders, home office employees) to secure information needed to perform policy transactions.
All other duties assigned by the Service Center Manager.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience a must
MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven math and problem solving skills
Proficient using basic Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent data entry skills
Ability to work in a team environment
