Major Duties

Classification: Non-Exempt/Non-Bargaining

Primary responsibilities include providing telephone user hardware and software support to new and existing residential & commercial Voice, Internet, WAN & Cloud subscribers, assisting prospective subscribers with questions concerning Consolidated's (CCI's) service offerings and compatibility issues, and assisting in maintaining customer support database and software support material.

Responsibilities

Provide phone support for new and existing residential and commercial customers in a 24x7 environment.

Troubleshoot reported service problems for residential and commercial customers and assist customers in connecting to CCI's network

Work with multiple software systems with supporting customer information.

Enter steps taken into trouble ticket tracking software.

Work with other departments to resolve customer issues quickly.

Assist customers with questions regarding Internet service, software requirements for connection and hardware compatibility.

Maintain knowledge of all products, procedures and service initiatives.

Provide an excellent customer experience.

Respond to support mail, fax and hand written communications.

Maintain updated technical knowledge

Must be able to work between 7am and 10pm during any day of the week

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED

6 months phone support experience preferred.

Experience working a customer service field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns and overcome objections.

Strong work ethic and self-starter- able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change with a fast-paced business environment.

Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone.

Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly

In this position, you will be responsible for answering customer calls (external and internal) and responding to customer e-mails within 24 hours of receipt; process high volume of orders accurately in a timely manner using multiple tools; resolve customer problems regarding orders or potential orders; research and escalate product issues as needed; work toward customer satisfaction with each interaction with the customer; process incoming and outgoing mail; filing of all Capstone orders. The hours of the position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., M-F. More specifically, this individual will be working with our print side of the business, Direct, Trade and International. This position will work with customers placing orders/inquiries from our website as well. The successful candidate will have at least two years of customer service experience working with and supporting a web-based product; excellent problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task; background with supporting web-based products using IE, Safari, Chrome and Firefox is desired; experience using tablets, experience with using Excel, exceptional communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a team environment; and self-starter. The preferred candidate must have the ability to communicate technical topic in an easy to understand manner; have excellent phone skills; ability to connect to people; positive attitude and outlook; strong attention to detail; be dependable; and a drive to learn, grow and thrive in a fast pace, entrepreneurial environment.
