This is an administrative support position assigned to the Customer Service Division Support Team located in Raleigh Headquarters (501 N. Wilmington St). The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00pm, with the option to flex your time. Candidates may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule after completion of a training progression plan. This position performs clerical data entry, document scanning, and administrative support for multiple assigned tax schedules for distribution agency wide via the agency's Document Management System.

  • Reviews and validates powers of attorney for taxpayers

  • Indexes incoming agency correspondence

  • Resolves demographic inquiries and updates, such as address changes and out of business notifications

  • Reissues corrected or replacement Forms 1099 G and INT

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
